This work is a tribute to my great-grandfather, Domingos Zacarias, who was a miner and worked at Mina do
Morro Velho (Nova Lima - MG - BRA), in a period when about 30 people died every week, victims of landslides. My great-grandfather died of a disease called silicosis, caused by the accumulation of dust in the lungs.
This tribute is extended to all the other miners who started riots in that period and were silenced.
